Ronnie Thwaites to deliver the 6th CIN lecture on Nov 5

RONNIE Thwaites, member of parliament for Central Kingston, has been selected to deliver the sixth annual lecture by the Caribbean International Network (CIN).

The CIN Caribbean Lecture Series, scheduled to be held at Schomburg Centre for Research in Black Culture in New York on November 5, has over the years presented individuals of unique accomplishment and uncommon commitment to the political, economic and social advancement of the Caribbean region.

Thwaites a earned a BA in history from Cornell University and a jurisprudence degree from Oxford University where he was also a Rhodes Scholar.

According to Stephen Hill, CEO of the CIN, “This year CIN is extremely proud to have (Thwaites) as our presenter at the sixth annual lecture. He was selected because of his distinguished academic and political career, not only to the government and people of Jamaica, but also his unswerving commitment to the Caribbean community and its peoples throughout the diaspora. (Thwaites) is a true Renaissance man.”
