Teenage
October 26, 2010

‘Scary’ weekend ahead

THIS weekend will be one of costumes and make-up as many Halloween fans will dress up as the person they wished they were. Others will just dress themselves in some totally ridiculous ensemble (knowing that if it weren’t for Halloween they could never and would never leave home looking like that). Here’s a list of hot spots that TEENage thinks you’ve got to check out this weekend!

SCREAM

The May Pen massive is in for a fright night as Datz Ryte clothing and May Pen Ice bring SCREAM to the Aquarius Night Club on October 30. Promising a high energy yet traditional Halloween costume party, patrons can move to the beats of ZJ Wah-Wa and DJ Ricky Redz. The first 50 females in costume will be admitted free.

Grave Yaad The Resurrection

The Pantry Play House will be transformed into a Grave Yaad for Halloween entertainment as resident DJ Ali Patch, DJ Shine, DJ Narity and DJ Zagga, along with a host of other DJs, take over on October 30. Admission includes food and patrons have an option of being a VIP. The VIP lounge, a menu of BBQ wings, jerk chicken, kebabs and a special detox station; along with numerous drink stations are only a few of the promised specials for patrons. Patrons can also look forward to a pastry bar, a trick-or-treat stand, free body painting and body piercings. Get your tickets at Xtraz (Manor Park and Constant Spring Road), LG Service Station (Constant Spring Rd), and Genius Pharmacy (Portmore).

Ultimate Addiction

Ultimate Promotions is all geared up for the first anniversary of Ultimate Addiction on October 30. Taking place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on Hope Road, patrons will spend the night indulging in music and mayhem. Music will be provided by ZJ Liquid, ZJ Chrome, DJ Kurt Riley and Kingston All-Stars. Get your tickets now at UTech Student’s Union, Salon Splurt — UWI, Tasha May’s Fashions, TGI Fridays, Cuddy’s and Just Call Couriers.

Thriller: Creatures, Masquerade & Costumes

The New Quad is all geared up for Halloween, and on October 30, you can come out in your costume for a chance to win a brand new BlackBerry! And even if you aren’t rocking the best costume of the night, patrons in costume get in free before 1:00 am. With a mix of great vibes and great people, come out to the haunted mansion to ring in October 31st.

Gracias

One of the few events of the weekend not carrying the ‘Halloween costume party’ concept, is Gracias by the Lawless Events family. Scheduled to be held at The Cove (3 Winchester Road), the invitation-only, food-inclusive party is their way of saying thanks to the many loyal patrons they have had. On October 29 you can expect the usual ‘lawless’ vibe as the best DJs and ZJs take the wheels of steel by the venue’s poolside. Invitations are now available at TGI Fridays, Xtraz, Cuddys and other select persons.
