LIME Division One kicks off today

SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — The LIME/St Catherine Division One football competition will get underway today with a opening ceremony followed by a double-header at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

In the first game at 2:00 pm, Waterford FC will take on Upfront FC, while Frasers Whip and Christian Pen are down to contest the feature game at 4:00.

Nine teams will participate in this season’s competition and will play each other twice on a home-and-away basis, after which the top-four finishers will advance to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, in action from the Major League on Tuesday, DB Basovak scored a comfortable 3-1 win over Black Lion at Homestead to kick-start their campaign, while Rodwood and Dunbeholden carved out identical 2-1 victories over Cumberland and Wanderers, respectively.
