‘Herbert’ seek Confed basketball wins
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Herbert Morrison Technical will this afternoon seek wins over Rhodes Hall and Mannings School as the ISSA/Western Confederation basketball competition continues.
After beating Holland in the Under-16 section on Monday, Herbert Morrison will take on Rhodes Hall as they seek back-to-back wins, and Mannings in the Under-19 section.
Both Rhodes Hall and Mannings are coming off victories over Muschett on Wednesday.
Rhodes Hall won their Under-16 game, 53-27, in a rout, while Mannings opened their account in the Under-19 section with a 49-40 win over the Trelawny school.
Meanwhile, Spot Valley, losers to Cornwall College in both sections on Monday, will host Muschett in a double-header at Spot Valley.
On Wednesday, Rhodes Hall got off to a fast start and held on to beat Muschett, thanks to 28 points each from Leon Moncrieff and Ewan Symester.
Rhodes Hall led 20-4 after the first quarter and 26-8 at half-time and were up 38-14 going into the fourth quarter.
Muschett were once again playing catch-up in the Under-19 section as they trailed Mannings 2-7 after the first quarter.
Troy Reid led all scorers with 22 points as Adrian McCallum scored eight and had 12 rebounds.
Aldane Anderson and Mikhail Cover scored 14 points each for Muschett.
