Get Fit Like Madonna! New Hard Candy Gym Set to Open Around the World

HEALTH & WELL-BEING

If you want to be as taut and toned as Madonna, then the news of her new fitness empire will be cause for ‘Celebration’. Be inspired to get fit straight from the source…. Madonna. The queen of pop is now set to become a worldwide fitness studio mogul, with the opening of her new Fitness Studio Hard Candy Fitness on November 29th in Mexico City.

TAKING THE FITNESS INDUSTRY BY STORM

Fitness is just one area in which Madonna has excelled, and now she is capitalising on that by playing a lead role in re-designing the ultimate fitness studio. The first Hard Candy Fitness is a beautiful and uniquely designed 30,000 square-foot space which is scheduled to open in Mexico City in the exclusive ‘Bosques de las Lomas’ area.

The interior of Hard Candy Fitness is said to be based on Madonna’s strong vision of what the ideal exercise, dancing and workout environment should be. It is expected to be THE Ultimate Fitness Studio, and we as professionals in the fitness industry are anticipating a whole new level of fitness standards trends and ideals that she will surely introduce into our world, as much as she has to the music industry.

A leader in everything she touches, the pop diva is said to be chief director of lighting, layout and all creative imaging of the studios – down to the music that will be played while people work out. A sure-fire concept of merging fitness with entertainment, it is certain to be the birth of a successful global fitness craze.

DIVERSIFICATION OF THE DIVA

As a result of the arrested income from music sales due to piracy, Madonna has recently been dabbling in other lines in the entertainment industry. As reported by international promotion company, Live Nation, Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet world tour made USD$408m (£250m), making it the highest-grossing tour ever for a solo artist. This woman knows where the money is at. She has recently positioned herself into many other business ventures, such as a teenage clothing line called Material Girl and a recent stint in film directing.

The global gym chain is being launched in partnership with New Evolution Ventures chairman Mark Mastrov and Guy Oseary (Madonna’s manager). Of course, the design and detail will all come from Madonna’s vision and high standards. A foolproof investor’s dream come true.

The Hard Candy Fitness studios are set to display various themes, a state-of-the-art Indoor Cycle room, a spa, a Mind-Body room and no doubt loads of energetic dance classes. They are set to offer both private and group training in Barwork, Capoeira and Kickboxing as well as weight training.

LONG AND LEAN LIKE MADONNA

The biggest drawing card for me, however, would be the specially designed programmes which they will be offering based on the super-diva’s lifestyle. Anyone, myself included, would want to be first in line to get on the “How to look like Madonna” plan. A brilliant brand-positioning move it will surely make.

Over the years she has given us unending inspiration for taking our fitness to the ultimate level, as we have watched her body transform with her career, her style and her family.

GLOBAL GYM CHAIN

The inaugural Hard Candy Fitness studio is the first in a series of ten health clubs in a large-scale international venture. Hard Candy Fitness will be opening in Brazil, Argentina, Russia as well as other locations in major cities in Europe and Asia. She is slated to attend the opening of the first studio this month, and the world will be watching her as she cuts that ribbon with her beautifully sculpted arms, as usual.

TRY OUT A CLASS

If you are interested in checking out a One of a Kind Madonna Long and Lean class which is based entirely on Madonna’s workout training principles, right here in Jamaica right now, do visit www.bodybyselena.com. You can try out the cutting-edge workout designed by the fitness pop icon, and taught by myself.

For me personally, (self-proclaimed president of her fan club), she has always kept my motivation on cue over the years. At 52, she has shown every woman that it is possible to take yourself to any height that you envision, whether that is stardom or freedom. For decades she has been rocking us and moving us forward with her ever-changing looks and her energy that still doesn’t stop. A true believer in exercise, Madonna will once again lead us into a new age of kick-butt fitness with the freshly-coined slogan “Harder is Better”. Rock on.
