DJ Nicholas, Carlene Davis for gospel festival at Devon House
THIS Saturday, December 11, the lawns of the popular Devon House in Kingston will be transformed into a mega family fun day and gospel festival with the staging of Jamaica Family Fest under the theme Fun With The Entire Family.
The festival features headliners, gospel artistes DJ Nicholas and Dr Carlene Davis accompanied by several top local acts including the popular Shady Squad Dancers.
According to event organiser Andrew McKenley, “Jamaica Family Fest will also include a business and trade expo, electronic show, college fair, automobile expo, health fair and a food court, topped by the best Christmas present anyone could ask for, free admission.”
He continued “We plan to entice the public with 12 hours of non-stop exciting, clean and wholesome family entertainment. Spartan Health Club will have a 30-minute aerobics segment to energise the audience, plus free gym membership giveaways. Yummy Bakery will provide tasty products for the highly anticipated Food Eating Competition. There will be a host of giveaways from the business community across the island including popular hotels and various fashion outlets.”
The promoters, in association with the Devon House team, have taken into consideration the country’s continuous domestic, economic and social problems. Jamaica Family Fest aims is to promote the word of God, education, family unity, love and togetherness. Jamaica Family Fest is specifically geared towards the continued development of family life; therefore, providing in-depth attractions for everyone; from toddlers to the elderly.
The organisers are encouraging patrons to come out with the entire family from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm to witness the event which will see over 300 participants putting their best on display.
