SAVANNA-LA-MAR, Westmoreland — THE police have recently released the names of the nine most wanted men in the Westmoreland Police Division.

Heading the wanted list is 24-year-old Romeo Vassell, also called Romie, alleged to be a member of the notorious 12 Street Gang based in Savanna-la-Mar. The police say Vassell, who is considered armed and dangerous, frequents the Westmoreland communities of New Market Oval, Cotton Tree in 12 Street, the Savanna-la-Mar Market and Corner Bar in Negril.

Vassell is wanted in connection with alleged shooting with intent and robbery with aggravation committed May 11, 2010.

The police say Vassell, who sports a cornrow hairstyle, is of medium built, oval face, dark complexion, is one inch more than six feet tall and has two tattoos:

‘Puffy’ on right arm and the words ‘One Love’ imprinted on left wrist.

The list is completed by:

* Philbert Anderson, 27, of Fort Williams and Whithorn, Westmoreland addresses; and Orletts Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine. He is wanted for alleged murder committed on January 14, 2010 at Fort Williams district, Westmoreland.

* Dwayne Clarke ‘Buju’, 18, of Coffee Walk, Delveland Westmoreland who escaped custody while being held for murder committed in March 12, 2009 at Delveland, Little London, Westmoreland. He is considered armed and dangerous and is said to frequent Frome, Delveland, Aldair, Whitehall and Negril;

* Hugh Collins, alias Junior, 18, of White Hall, Negril, Westmoreland. He escaped custody while facing charges of robbery with aggravation, rape, and gross indecency on July 16, 2009 about 11:30 pm at Great House Good Hope, Negril, Westmoreland. He is considered armed and dangerous and frequents the communities of Frome, Delveland, Aldair, White Hall, Negril in Westmoreland;

* Kenneth Murdock, ‘Ken’, Church Lincoln, Grange Hill, Westmoreland who is wanted for alleged murder committed on September 18, 2010 at Church Lincoln, Grange Hill, Westmoreland. Murdock is considered dangerous and is said to frequent Church Lincoln in Grange Hill, Westmoreland; and Green Vale in Manchester;

* Renoi Wedderburn also called ‘Bloody’ of Upstreet Belmont, Bluefields, Westmoreland, wanted for alleged wounding with intent, robbery with aggravation committed on January 20, 2010 at Belmont district, Westmoreland. He is considered armed and dangerous and is known to frequent Up Street Belmont, Black Bay Beach, Westmoreland; and Newton, St Elizabeth;

* Jermaine Ramsay ‘Franco’ 23, of Prospect district, Frome, Westmoreland who is wanted for alleged shooting with intent, robbery with aggravation committed May 11, 2010, is considered armed and dangerous. He is said to frequent Prospect, Burnt Savanna, Frome, Blackness Truro;

* 19-year-old Aaron Ramsey alias ‘Presa Foot’ of Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland. He escaped custody on July 20, 2009 at Frome lock up while being held in connection with indecent assault committed in 2009. Ramsey is considered armed and dangerous and frequents 105 Dalling Street, Shoalin, Bluefields, Westmoreland.

* Lance Pearson, ‘Caccum’ of Cedar Valley district, Darliston, Westmoreland. He is about six feet two inches tall of fair complexion and medium built. He is wanted for alleged robbery with aggravation committed February 22, 2010 at Cedar Grove District, Darliston, Westmoreland and kidnapping committed February 28, 2010 at Ashton district, Bethel Town. He frequents Ashton district New Market, St Elizabeth and Spanish Town, St Catherine.
