Usher kicked in face by frenzied fan at NY concert

Being a sex symbol has its dangers as Usher learned first-hand at his New York City concert. The crooner brought an ecstatic female fan onstage Monday night for a serenade of his sensual song Trading Places at Madison Square Garden. He sat her on a couch while he caressed her. Then, after they changed positions, the overexcited fan tried to move her leg to get closer to him. Her stiletto boot heel knocked him in the nose. The fan tried to smooth things over by massaging Usher’s face, but there was no need: Usher wasn’t hurt and cracked a joke about it.

Unemployed father-of-two Patrick House wins TV show The Biggest Loser after losing 181lb

It’s been seven months of blood, sweat and tears for the contestants of the hit reality show The Biggest Loser. And yesterday, 28-year-old former football player Patrick House was named the not-so-big winner, after losing a massive 181 lb. The 6′ 2″ father-of-two from Mississippi bagged the $250,000 prize after beating the other finalists Frado Dinton and Ada Wong into second and third place. House weighed 400lbs (28 stone) before he began the show, which features a group of obese people competing to lose the highest percentage of weight through a series of challenges. He finished, weighing a more slim-line 219lb and celebrated his win with his wife Bradley and sons Colton, four, and two year-old Caden. “It’s crazy to think that I let myself get that out of control,” House said about his starting weight. “And I can tell you, I’m never going back to that.” He said he’d been given the opportunity to work for a programme at a South Carolina school that helps overweight teens. “To win The Biggest Loser means everything to me,” he added. “My future now is as bright as it’s ever been. 2010 has been a rough year. Winning this for me brings me back freedom.”

Demure white at the front… barely there at the back: Paltrow’s VERY daring dress

She is famous for her daring sense of style and svelte figure. And Gwyneth Paltrow certainly showed off both as she arrived at a screening of her new film Country Strong, wearing a daring floor-length white dress by Emilio Pucci. From the front the dress appeared demure, covering her shapely figure up entirely. But when she turned it was a different story. The backless dress gaped open and was slashed right down over her hips, held together only with bits of criss-crossing tie. The slit then continued right down her leg, giving onlookers quite an eyeful as it was revealed that she was not wearing anything beneath the frock. The 38-year-old actress teamed the white dress with some matching criss-cross black shoes.

AS HE WAS: House started out in the contest weighing a staggering 400lb.
