NEW DELHI (AP) — Sachin Tendulkar returns for his first one-day internationals in 10 months against South Africa in January in a full-strength India squad also preparing for the World Cup.

Tendulkar, the all-time leading ODI runscorer, and several other senior players have been injured or preferred to rest for Tests instead of playing one-dayers, including the recent 5-0 whitewash of New Zealand by a mainly second-string side.

But with India co-hosting the World Cup from February, their best players have made themselves available for their last series before the tournament.

India will play five one-dayers and a Twenty20 in South Africa from January 9, after the ongoing three-test series.
