Denno connects with Can’t Stop Dah Yute Yah
LAST year, Master One Production artiste Denno made a big impact with the singles Make It and Mi Feel It. The conscious artiste is at it again kicking off 2011 with the single Can’t Stop Dah Yute Yah.
The song has been receiving a lot of love from disc jocks across the board and the comments coming from music pundits suggest that he is one upcoming act to keep your eyes on for 2011.
Can’t Stop Da Yute Yah is all about struggles and the resolve to make it through trying circumstances. Denno captures this sentiment well, complemented by the catchy beats.
“Life doesn’t come without its struggles and obstacles, you will meet those who try to put you down, and those who encourage you,” said Denno, adding that the message he wants listeners to get from the single is that they should just keep focussed on their goals and ignore “envious and grudgeful people.”
The artiste also stated that since the song has been receiving airplay, he has got a lot of positive feedbacks about it.
“It is already making an impact and that’s good,” Denno stressed.
“We hope to capture the real essence of the single in the upcoming video,” said the artiste who made a big impact at Sting 2010.
Denno attended Bridgeport High, Denno pushed his music dreams aside, participating in very little music-related activities. However, this did not mean he had abandoned his musical mission. After graduation, Denno sought vocational training at HEART/NTA where he earned a certificate in welding.
Denno had his first recording in the wake of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. His Prayer for the Haitians, a collaboration with the artiste Oja, was released on the Earth Production label with arrangements by the legendary Dean Fraser. He later joined the Jyorken Kennedy-led Masterone label after an introduction from Carlington ‘Bouka’ Carter.
Looking ahead, Denno says there is nowhere but up for him with this strong guiding force.
