AMG Packaging company to offer IPO
CORRUGATED box manufacturer, AMG Packaging & Paper Company Limited plans to offer an initial public offer of its shares and list on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Junior Market within the next few months.
Yesterday, lead broker for the deal Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) announced the IPO and said the offer should be wrapped up by the end of April.
The proceeds of the IPO is to be used for expansion activities, as AMG seeks to keep pace with increasing demand for its products, including broadening its product line beyond corrugated carton boxes.
SSL CEO Mark Croskery said that “with AMG’s solid existing customer base and its competitive advantage in corrugated boxes, this will be a win-win opportunity for all stakeholders”.
AMG, headquartered on Retirement Crescent, Kingston supplies corrugated carton boxes to industry leaders such as Jamaican Teas Ltd, Seprod Ltd and Wisynco Group Ltd.
The company was incorporated in 2005 and currently has a staff complement of 50 employees.
Michael Chin, AMG’s general manager, noted that, “AMG’s value proposition is that we offer any size box that a customer wants and our turnaround time for creating these boxes is within a couple of days of our client orders.”
