Fi Wi Sinting for Portland
The 21st anniversary of Fi Wi Sinting the largest celebration of Jamaica’s rich African heritage will be held tomorrow at the beautiful Somerset Falls in Hope Bay, Portland.
This yearly cultural fest is a day-long family affair featuring story-telling, poetry, kumina, Jonkanoo, mento, Nyahbinghi drumming and chanting.
The event will be set in African market displaying items of African clothing, jewellery, art and craft as well as Afro-centric books. There will also be a wide range of tasty dishes including vegetarian menu and specially prepared raw food and natural juices.
