Sandy Gully danger
Dear Editor,
I wish to raise my concern at the delay in repairing the Sandy Gully retaining walls. My retaining wall was hit and thus damaged when a house (prominently featured in the media) fell into the gully. With the damage growing with each subsequent rainfall my house is on the verge of being lost.
All I’ve heard have been promises and promises from our MP, but there’s been no action from any relevant authority. I feel only when more lives are lost and more infrastructure damage incurred some last-ditch attempt will be made.
I implore the MP or anyone in authority to visit our area. Keep in mind that there are people still without houses and some that will lose their homes due to the tardiness of our government.
