From The Mummy to the tummy

Brendan Fraser hits gym to get back action-hero figure

He made female audiences swoon when he played a muscular action hero in The Mummy film franchise, and even as dim-witted but six-packed George Of The Jungle. But many years have passed since Brendan Fraser’s late ’90s heyday and the actor has succumbed to piling on the pounds in recent years. But it appears as though the 42-year-old is on a mission to reclaim his old figure, as he was pictured leaving a gym in West Hollywood last Tuesday. Brendan covered up his extra pounds in a grey T-shirt and Adidas tracksuit bottoms for his workout. He looked a little puffed out but flashed a smile at photographers as he cooled down with an energy drink. Fraser gained weight last year after completing work on the family comedy Furry Vengeance.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen pose in pyjamas and reveal secrets behind billion-dollar empire

They may be just over five feet but Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are now certainly standing tall in the fashion world. The 24-year-old twin sisters have opened up about their billion-dollar empire that includes three fashion lines – The Row, Elizabeth & James and Olsenboye – in the latest issue of Vogue magazine. The pair, who are known for their kooky style, pose in polka-dot Tom Ford pyjamas in the accompanying photo shoot. In the shot, they are pictured balancing on stilts on the beach while clutching empty wine glasses. The sisters insist that unlike some celebrity brands, they are heavily involved in every aspect of the design process. The pair were initially met with cynicism when they started out in the fashion world. “We hired a showroom and talked buyers through,” Ashley says. “People would drill us about fabric, where we’d make it,” Mary-Kate adds. “The first season, customers bought it, so the stores came back. And drilled us again.” With their fashion business thriving, the twins best known for their roles on popular series Full House, have retired their acting chops for now.

Meet the new ‘goddess’: Charlie Sheen adds a THIRD blonde to his harem

‘Tiger blood’- loving Charlie Sheen is said to have added a third “goddess” to his Warlock tribe. The troubled 45-year-old actor is said to be dating 26-year-old Megan Levant, joining the other two women in his life Natalie Kenly, 24, and Rachel Oberlin, also 24. The women, who are nearly half Sheen’s age, have been constant companions to the star as he continues his rollercoaster of bizarre interviews, vitriolic tirades and Twitter rants. Levant has apparently been dating the former Two and a Half Men star for a few months. She has been seen going in and out of his Hollywood home but has remained quiet about the romance. The Sun is reporting that, “Megan has told pals she has been seeing him for several months.” The blonde newcomer is apparently no stranger to the nightclub party scene in Los Angeles. “She often goes out wearing next to nothing and is not shy about sex,” a source told the newspaper. The insider added: “She loves porn and is a regular visitor to the Playboy mansion.”
