Super Star continue good start in Hanover

ELGIN TOWN, Hanover — Super Star continued their good start in the Hanover Football Association’s Captain’s Bakery and Grill Major league on Saturday after beating Jericho Rangers 2-1 at Elgin Town for their second straight win.

Roydell Moncrieffe struck twice within a four-minute period in the first half for Super Star as they raced to six points at the top of the tables.

Moncrieffe scored in the 40th and 44th minutes as Carlington McFarlane pulled one back for Jericho Rangers in the 78th minute.

Logwood scored their first win, edging former champions Sandy Bay 1-0 and took over second place on three points.

Dave Mulgrave’s fourth-minute goal was enough for Logwood, who had lost their opening game to Super Star.
