Police have so far identified one of the men as 24-year-old Amal Roman, otherwise called ‘Satan’. An AK-47 assault rifle, a 9 mm pistol and ammunition were reportedly seized in the incident.
“Roman has been regularly listed as a major person of interest and as a wanted person by the St Catherine North Police for his involvement in several murders and shooting incidents as part of the Klansman gang. Roman was identified as one of the main hit men‚ for the Klansman gang,” said a statement from police.
The Bureau of Special Investigations is now investigating the incident and the Independent Commission of Investigations has also been informed.
Meanwhile, the Police High Command is again reminding members of the JCF, particularly those operating in the parish of St Catherine, that the threat level against members remains extreme, especially following the killing of Roman today and Joel ‘JJ’ Jennings last month.
North St Catherine is currently under 11 separate curfews until this Sunday.
Police had previously offered rewards of $250,000 each for information leading to the arrest and charge of Roman and Navardo Hodges, also called ‘Dee Jay’.
