St Elizabeth, Trelawny in Senior Cup showdown
Group A joint-leaders St Elizabeth will seek to maintain their good form when they travel to face cellar team Trelawny in the fourth round of matches in the National Senior Cup Championships.
Play in the two-day match is scheduled to commence at 10:00 each morning.
St Elizabeth share top spot with St James, with nine points, while Trelawny have lost both their games outright and are yet to get on the board.
In the other group match, third-placed Westmoreland (seven points) host St James.
Group B joint-leaders and last season’s Super Cricket League champions Manchester (15 points) will be entertained by third-place St Thomas (seven points). In another Group B clash, fourth-place Clarendon play host to the in-form GC Foster (15 points).
In Group C, top team St Ann (18 points) will rest, while joint second-place teams St Mary and Police, on six points each, battle to close the gap.
In the competitive Group D, leaders Melbourne (13 points) will visit Chedwin Park to oppose fourth-place St Catherine CC (six points). The in-form Kensington (nine points), who lie in joint second place with Kingston, will seek their first outright victory of the season against neighbours Lucas (six points). In the other Group D match, Kingston will aim to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Melbourne with victory over lowly Boys’ Town.
