Clarks Town maintain dominance over Granville
HYDE, Trelawny — Clarks Town scored their second win over leaders Granville FC this season on Saturday and leapt several places to joint third in the points tables of the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League.
Clarks Town’s 1-0 win at Hyde Playfield was the second time they were beating the leaders this season after a 3-0 first-round victory.
Dwayne Brown scored the winning goal in the 74th minute and the win was Clarks Town’s second in a row, extending their unbeaten run to four games in the return round.
They also moved four places into joint third on 21 points with three other teams.
Flames were also winners on Saturday, edging last-placed Classic 1-0 at Sea Road field in Duncans with Metro Clarke’s 73rd-minute goal being the decider.
The third game between Invaders and Palmento was called off due to heavy showers.
