Sunshine Girls fold to Australia
THE Jamaican netball team’s dream run has come to an abrupt end with a hapless 82-46 defeat to many time champions Australia in their semi-final encounter at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last night.
The result was Australia’s highest score against Jamaica. They led 18-13 at the first quarter, 37-23 at halftime, and 63-32 going into the final quarter of the match.
The Australian’s will now play New Zealand in the final after the latter beat England 49-34.
