Causing a commotion
She is one of the most recognisable faces in the world. So it’s no surprise that when chat show queen Oprah Winfrey made a surprise visit to an Indian town, photographers and onlookers were keen to get a picture of her. According to reports, a member of Oprah’s security team allegedly got into a scuffle with a local journalist late last week. Film footage on Indian TV showed a security guard apparently pushing a journalist in Vrindavan, one of India’s biggest religious towns, considered to be the birthplace of the Hindu god Krishna. Oprah was at a centre for child widows who have been abandoned by their families when the incident took place. The 57-year-old — who is in the middle of a week-long trip to India — was filming for Oprah’s Next Chapter, a programme on her OWN channel. Prem Gautam, the superintendent of police for Mathura region, says: “Oprah Winfrey was in one of the ashrams where the widows stay. Journalists wanted to go in, but were refused entry. They had an argument but it was all sorted.”
The media mogul was all smiles, however, when she visited the iconic Taj Mahal. Taking it all in, Oprah looked around the shops of Mumbai and spoke to locals, dressed in an orange tunic paired with khaki pants, and posed in front of the building where tourists seemed as keen to look at her as at the historic surroundings. During a walkabout in the town of Agra, Oprah was followed by police, a camera crew and onlookers keen to catch a glimpse of her. Earlier this week she visited the slums of Mumbai.
With a traditional Hindu tilaka on her forehead — and clad in a striped blue blouse and black trousers — she walked around the streets, at one point with Australian author Gregory Roberts. Oprah has been sharing her experiences with her Twitter followers.

‘We’re like brother and sister’
Their relationship has been tumultuous, to say the least. He once said he wanted to rip her hair out, while she sought a restraining order, claiming he had made death threats against her. But Denise Richards has now compared her relationship with ex-husband Charlie Sheen to being like ‘brother and sister.’ The 40-year-old actress, who just recently returned from a trip to Mexico with the Two And A Half Men star, told Access Hollywood that she and Charlie have become ‘very good friends.’ “It’s our ‘Modern Family,’ I suppose,” Denise explained. “We’ve actually become like brother and sister, we really have. We’ve become very, very good friends…. When we all spend time together, it’s great for the kids and for us too. We actually get along.” She said that it was important for her and Charlie to get along for the sake of their two daughters — Sam, four, and five-year-old Lola. “I think (the key is) making it about the kids. The stuff between the couple… if you’re divorced… it’s no longer about you anymore,” she said. “You have to be the bigger person and make it about the kids and so that’s what we’re doing.”
After already vacationing in Mexico over Christmas, the former couple returned to the Central American country two weekends ago, with their two girls as well as Denise’s adopted baby girl Eloise. Charlie and Denise were spotted on Monday looking friendly as they departed a luxury getaway in tropical Cabo San Lucas. Charlie, 46, looked laid back in a pair of tartan shorts and open-necked shirt, topping off the look in a Blues Brothers-esque shades and trilby hat combo. But he was outshone by his former wife of four years, who looked fetching in a pair of tight denims, white vest and red baseball cap.

Cindy Crawford’s daughter, Kaia, makes modelling debut at 10
As the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Kaia was always going to be a beauty. Now, at the tender age of 10, she has made her modelling debut. Posing for the very first Young Versace ad, Kaia appears to have inherited her mother’s confidence in front of the camera. Wearing highlights from the designer line, which caters to children up to the age of 12, she stares boldly at the lens with her hands in her pockets. Given that her mother was a muse to the late Gianni Versace in the Nineties, it seems Kaia was a natural choice for the label — and Ms Crawford could not be more proud that her daughter is following in her footsteps. She said in a press release: “I’m so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign. I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace.” She added that she was present throughout the shoot, describing it as a ‘fantastic experience’. “I am so proud of her,” she revealed. The label’s creative director, Donatella Versace, said Kaia has inherited all of her mother’s modelling magic. She said: “Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!'” The campaign was shot by famed fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. It follows the opening of the first Young Versace boutique in Milan, Italy.
