Necessary Luxury – Kimisha Walker

Style Observer

Managing Director, Adam & Eve Day Spa

My necessary luxuries commence with my signature red Ruby Woo lipstick from MAC, and a pair of sexy stilettos. I love to make a statement, this is a glam CHIC must-have in your collection… Not to mention my handy kit, including my Chanel double perfection powder, a styling brush, eyeliner and mascara. I believe a woman should always be groomed and ready to strike a pose if the moment calls for it.

“Hi. My name is Kimisha and I’m a spa and BB addict.” My Digicel BlackBerry Bold helps me stay connected with those who are most important in my life. Family, BFFs, suppliers and my customers can make a spa appointment via my Digicel BlackBerry. Now that’s true royalty treatment. The ease of using the camera to snap a picture that’s worth a thousand words, of the happiest moments shared and the reason to recover and smile in the midst of any storm that may come my way.

Being a spa owner, one would believe that it affords you the opportunity to get a massage daily. It feels like a near-hit moment, because seeing my clients totally satisfied, knowing that my team and I enhanced their day is an internal wellness for me. My laptop and my Digicel Mi-fi, which is mostly used when I’m away from the office, helps me keep abreast of the latest trends. A mentor told me: If you can’t be the first, be different. If you can’t be different, be the best.’

Candles, bath salts, essential oils, the only thing missing is the sand and sea, but a soak in the whirlpool at home sets the tone for a perfect romantic evening with my hubby.

My business cards and brochures are always close by. I’m always networking, which is key in one’s life; out of sight, out of mind or loss of a potential business opportunity.

My Range Rover: the low hum received as the key ignites the fuel to the engine, and elevates to a level set only by the driver who can appreciate it; the adrenaline rush from the connection of both driver and the masculine steel frame takes acceleration to an ultimate high. There can be only one end result: pure class.

Adam and Eve Day Spa, the necessary luxuries of life for me, is the success of seeing my dreams turn into reality; the agape love received from family and friends. Positive individuals you meet daily, capitalising on an opportunity and encouraging others to strive for the best; letting them know that God is only a prayer away.
