Catherine Hall on the up in Super League
BUNKERS HILL, Trelawny — Catherine Hall FC moved back into second place in Zone One of the Jamaica Football Federation’s Captain’s Bakery and Grill Western Confederation Super League on Tuesday after beating Invaders of Trelawny 2-1 at Bunkers Hill.
The victory extended Catherine Hall’s unbeaten run to four games as they moved to 13 points, inching past Wadadah (12 points) and are two points behind leaders Granville FC.
Andre Barrett took over the leadership in the goal-scoring race when he gave Catherine Hall the lead in the 30th minute with his fifth strike of the season.
Tajae Moore drew the home team back level four minutes later as the teams went to the break tied at 1-1.
Kemar Forrester scored what turned out to be the winner three minutes into the second half as Catherine Hall chalked up their third win.
In another game at Elgin Town, home team Jericho Rangers and Frome played out a 0-0 draw that saw Frome improve to nine points and Jericho to seven.
