Peter Horrobin qualifies for European Senior tour
JAMAICA’S most internationally active senior golfer Peter Horrobin has qualified for the European Senior Tour which runs from May 4 to December.
He will compete in Europe, Japan and Australia, which make up the tour countries.
He went to Q-School in Europe and was successful in his bid to qualify to compete on the European Senior Tour during 2012. He was among the select group of 14 senior golfers to qualify for the tour.
Horrobin has not yet decided on his first competitive tournament but he expects it to be soon.
Horrobin, who was quite happy to qualify for the tour said, “I am very pleased to make the European Senior Tour for the first time. I look forward to competing and doing well during the year and to playing on the tour for a number of years to come.
“It’s been a long time since a Jamaican qualified for the tour and I am happy to be the qualifier at this time.”
The only other Jamaican to qualify for the European Senior is Delroy Cambridge in 2000.
