High spirits at SPF
GUSTY winds and choppy seas associated with Tropical Storm Ernesto did nothing to stop the party fans who turned out for Saturday’s Fiction Beach, the second major event of the SPF weekend of parties in Ocho Rios.
The event, one of the more popular in the two-year history of the series, drew out partygoers in their hundreds on the shores of Mammee Bay Beach, where the organisers created a cosy environment complete with cabanas, futons, and conversation areas.
Earlier on Saturday, the action centred on the Olympics under way in London, as invited guest hovered around big screen televisions set up at the Sponspons Pool Lyme, to watch the exploits of Jamaican athletes on the track, including the sensational golden run by Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and her fellow Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown, who took bronze.
