Bolt is a ‘monster’ says Ryan Bailey
KINGSTON, Jamaica — American sprinter Ryan Bailey in commenting on his performance in his team’s silver medal finish behind the record breaking Jamaican sprint powerhouse team, described Usain Bolt as a ‘monster’.
“I wanted to run the anchor leg, we had a team meeting and I said I was going to do it. I felt I ran a good race. When I took the baton, I was thinking ‘run, run, run for my life’ but Usain BOLT is a monster. I was just trying to run.” he said.
“As soon as the gun went off, I was ready for the stick to get to me. I ran for my life. It was a great effort. We can’t be upset. We broke the national record,” he said. “It’s been an amazing time. I just need to go home and relax for a bit. It’s been great but I need to recharge my batteries.”
