MISS Jamaica World, Deanna Robbins, is making strides in the international competition being held in Ordos, China.

Robbins is currently placed first in the Miss World 2012 Challenge Events Leaderboard.

She achieved this by placing in the Top 5 of the Talent Challenge, the Top 10 of the Top Model Challenge, and being a semi-finalist in the ongoing Beach Fashion and Sports Finale challenges respectively.

For the first time, the public can take part in the decision making of the Miss World competition via the Miss World Multimedia Challenge. This challenge is a new component to the Miss World competition, and involves fan interaction and participation on the official social media pages of the contestants.

Viewers can assist Robbins in the Miss World Multimedia Challenge by visiting The Miss Jamaica World Profile on the Miss World website, and liking the official Miss Jamaica World Facebook account provided by that page.

The grand final of the Miss World 2012 competition is August 18, 2012.

Jamaica has not won a Miss World title since Minister of Youth and Culture Lisa Hanna won in 1993.
