Advantage General launches BlackBerry app for road users
JAMAICAN road users can now report accidents or dangerous driving by customers of Advantage General Insurance (AGI) thanks to a new free Blackberry Application offered by the company.
AGI’s latest service, dubbed “Advantage Mobile”, was introduced on Thursday at a special event at the company’s Head Office in Kingston. The app, which was built by Smart Mobile Solutions Jamaica Limited, a local developer, is designed to provide mobile insurance solutions for thousands of BlackBerry smartphone users in Jamaica.
One of the key features of Advantage Mobile is AGICertify, the company said. The feature, which is only available in Jamaica, allows road users to check whether or not a vehicle is insured with AGI.
Persons can also report accidents or dangerous driving to the company by entering the vehicle’s licence plate number along with any pertinent information on the incident. AGI’s system will then provide automatic confirmation of receipt.
Advantage Mobile allows users to get quick quotations, manage their insurance policies, submit motor accident notifications and windscreen claims, and access roadside assistance, among other features, the company added.
Mark Thompson, AGI president and CEO, said “exceptional service delivery and convenience continue to be the company’s key area of focus.
“Advantage Mobile will more efficiently place routine insurance services at our clients’ fingertips,” he said, adding that the company wanted to improve the service experience for its client base. “The aim was to create the kind of cutting edge application that will deliver a truly engaging experience and wow our customers,” Thompson noted.
