DJ Nicco represents
DJ Nicco represented Jamaica in fine style in the global finals of the Red Bull Thre3Style held at The Mid in Chicago, USA last Saturday evening.
Nicco impressed the audience and judges with a superb set marked by diversity and which paid homage to his homeland and won the the pre-qualifying round. He was one of six competitors from 18 countries to make it to the final night’s.
He was, however, Nicco was bested in the end by the USA’s Four Color Zach, Brazil’s Nedu Lopez, and DJ Drummer from Chile, who laced first to third, respectively.
“Making the finals from a field of 18 other highly skilled DJs from around the globe was a shock to me. But it felt great to know that I had the faith of Red Bull and my country behind me. This overall experience has been a huge accomplishment for me, for Jamaica, for my career, and for the West Indies all together,” Nicco said.
