World Sound System Music Festival postponed
THE inaugural World Sound System Music Festival, scheduled for this weekend at the Constant Spring Golf Club, has been postponed.
The two-day event would have showcased 16 sound systems from across the globe, such as Shashamane International (Africa), Downbeat The Ruler (New York), One Love (Italy), Saxon High Power (United Kingdom), and King Turbo (Canada). It was the brainchild of singer Freddie McGregor’s Big Ship Productions.
“We all wanted this to be a reality and we really did our best to get things moving but unfortunately we had difficulties with getting the necessary work permits in time for the event,” McGregor explained.
The festival has been re-scheduled for 2013.
