W&N, FLOW among BH netball winners
JAMAICA Infrastructure Operators, Wray and Nephew, Flow Jamaica and Aeronautical Communications were crowned winners of the Business House Netball Association (BHNA) Divisional League finals at the National Arena last Saturday.
JIO captured the Senior ‘B’ League final by defeating Transport Authority, 40-32. For the winners, Shellyann Williams accounted for 28 from 40 and teammate Andrea Williams 12 from 21.
Renae Chambers got 14 from 22 and Kadian Mendez 11 from 20 for the losers. The quarterly scores were 8-7, 18-16, 28-25 and 40-32.
The winners walked away with $30,000, a trophy, medals and a cake, Transport Authority collected $20,000, a trophy and a cake, while Sagicor Life ‘A’ won $12,000 and a trophy for third place. Fourth was NHT ‘A’. Shellyann Williams of JIO was the MVP of the final.
In the Intermediate ‘A’ League final, Wray and Nephew outscored VMBS, 27-23.
Wray and Nephew pocketed $25,000 and the winners’ trophy, medals and a cake; VMBS Group received $15,000, a trophy and a cake; JNBS got $10,000 and a trophy for third, while ATL received a trophy for fourth.
The Intermediate ‘B’ final was won by FLOW, who held off JMMB, 26-23. Proulize Brown of FLOW was the MVP of the final.
AEROTEL won the Junior League final by defeating first timers Stewart’s Automotive, 29-22. Petagaye Morrison with 15 from 24 and Latoya Morris, 14 from 19, netted for the winners.
