The 30 Seconds to Mars singer looked pensive as he strolled down the pavement with his co-star Jennifer Garner in New Orleans last Monday. No doubt he was mulling over his performance in the forthcoming true life story film, which also stars Matthew McConaughey as an electrician named Ron Woodroof who becomes an HIV positive drug smuggler after contracting the disease. The sharp features that made Jared a teen idol in his My So Called Life days certainly seem to make him perfect for the role if his appearance in a cardigan, head scarf and miniskirt are anything to go by. Garner, 40, was less made up than her co-star in a dowdy ensemble of white blouse and long tan skirt. The actress is playing Doctor Eve Saks, who treats Leto and McConaughey’s characters.

‘I’m having fun and enjoying myself’

She’s been tight-lipped about her romance with One Direction singer Liam Payne. But now Leona Lewis has opened up about the 19-year-old singer and admitted she’s “having fun”.

The 27-year-old X Factor winner told Look magazine that she doesn’t care about their eight-year age gap. She said: “If you have a bond with someone it (age) doesn’t come into it. I’d date someone younger or older, age doesn’t matter to me. Or looks, really — it’s all about maturity.”

And speaking about spending time with the boy band heartthrob, she refused to comment on how many dates they had been on but said: “I’m having fun and enjoying myself.”

The pair, who reportedly spent an hour locked in a dressing room together during last Friday’s Children in Need show, have been friends for years. But after Liam broke up with his girlfriend Danielle Peazer, he and Leona were linked together. He recently admitted to having a crush on the older singer, reportedly saying: “I do have a crush on Leona, she’s hot! I have met her. She’s hot.”

For Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy, it’s not just about the 16-year age gap. As was made pertinently clear as the couple strolled around New York last weekend, they are also at odds in the height department with 6-feet-plus Olivier, 42, towering above his 5-feet, 2-inches 26-year-old squeeze. Pint-sized Mary-Kate was spotted with her man in the East Village, and barely reached his shoulder as she stood beside him in her flat boots, teamed with jeans and a leather jacket. Olivier is the taller half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who stands at just 5ft 5 and has been roundly mocked over his height. The couple dined at Quartino Restaurant for lunch before attending a basketball match, where once again they appeared more interested in each other than the action on court. They put on an affectionate show at the New York Knicks versus Indiana Pacers game at Madison Square Garden in New York. Olsen was seen snuggling up to Sarkozy and whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
