Queen’s Counsel Walter Scott (left) presents a cheque for $1 million to Major Stanley Griffin of the Salvation Army for Hurricane Sandy relief work in the parishes of Portland and St Thomas, on November 14. Scott made the presentation on behalf of the District Grand Lodge of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, whose District Grand Secretary Robert Forbes, and Mrs Griffin, herself a Salvation Army major, share the occasion.
