Motor Advantage
THE Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League, through its subsidiary Centralised Strategic Services (CSS), last weekend rolled out its latest auto loan facility, Motor Advantage in keeping with the new thrust for credit unions to further assist members to realise financial freedom.
Motor Advantage is described as a creative motor loan product which offers a special deal on all vehicles sold by Toyota Jamaica.
“Under the deal, credit union members can benefit from free insurance, free service and free gas for a year,” the league said in a news release. “In addition, new vehicles purchased by members through the Motor Advantage loan facility will be fitted with a vehicle-tracking device, with the fee for the first year waived.”
Motor Advantage, the league explained, is the result of strategic alliances among giants of the motor vehicle industry, including Toyota Jamaica, Chevron (owners of Texaco), and Fraser, Fontaine and Kong, in partnership with the insurance company’s underwriter, West Indies Alliance.
“This product represents the most attractive motor package I have ever seen,” said Howard Foster, sales and marketing manager for Toyota Jamaica, in his address to guests at the official launch of the new auto loan facility.
“For a long time we have wanted to forge this kind of relationship with the credit union movement and we are truly pleased with this partnership,” he added.
Managing director of CSS Heston Hutton noted that Motor Advantage was one of the most competitive auto loan products on the market today.
“It is not only competitive, but easy and convenient, as all essential elements of motor ownership within the first year of purchase were considered and are a part of this package,” Hutton is quoted as saying.
“I am encouraging members to take advantage of this package and own a brand new car for Christmas,” he added.
