Jamalco, Tivoli clash highlights JNBS/JNA Sunshine Open League netball
DEFENDING champions Jamalco and Tivoli ‘A’ square off against each other in one of eight matches scheduled to be played in the 2012/2013 Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS)/Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) ‘Elite’ Group competition today at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 7:00 pm.
Meanwhile, a total of 39 matches will be played both in the ‘Elite’ and ‘B’ Groups scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. All ‘Elite’ Group teams are down to play two matches today.
The Winston Nevers-coached Jamalco have so far won their first three matches to take the early lead in the ‘Elite’ Group with nine points, while the Sylvester Campbell-coached, West Kingston-based aggregation has only played two games, winning both to have six points.
Waulgrovians ‘A’ should chalk up their third straight win from as many starts when they play GC Foster College ‘A’ at 4:20 and UWI Pelicans ‘A’ at 7:00.
Other games scheduled today in the ‘Elite’ Group are Mico ‘A’ vs Tivoli ‘A’; Global United ‘A’ vs Cable Pro (formerly Windalco) at 4:20, while at 7:00 the games on are Mico ‘A’ vs Cable Pro and GC Foster Strikers ‘A’ vs Global United ‘A’.
Action in the ‘B’ Group begins at 1:00 with Friendship vs Jamaica Defence Force (JDF); Drewsland vs EXED Saints; Duhaney Park Strikers vs Waulgrovians ‘C’; Raven vs Mico ‘B’.
