Accused in Clover Graham murder assigned lawyers
THE men accused of killing 56-year-old attorney Clover Graham were last Friday appointed attorneys when they appeared in the Home Circuit Court.
The accused are Simeon Lewis, 25; Quron Patterson, 22; and 18-year-old Shannon Campbell.
The assignments were accepted by attorney Christopher Townsend, Peter Champagnie, Kaysia Kennedy, and Zara Lewis and come three months after the men were charged.
The court had made an order in November that the men be assigned attorneys, but no lawyers wanted to take up the case.
The men are to return to court on February 22 by which time they are to be served with documents in the case.
Graham’s body was found face down on the infield of the Caymanas Polo Club, off Mandela Highway in St Catherine, on August 19 last year.
Her throat was slashed.
Graham, a University of Technology lecturer and United Nations representative, lived at Eltham Acres in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Police theorised that she was abducted while entering her home the night before her body was found.
