Sharks kill fisherman off Pelican Cay

KINGSTON, Jamaica – An elderly Westmoreland fisherman was killed during a shark attack Tuesday morning.

Reports are that 68-year-old George Facey of Savanna-Lar-Mar left Old Harbour Bay in St Catherine with other fishermen around 10:30am today.

The men headed out to Pelican Cay and were diving when they encountered sharks.

Facey was bitten by sharks multiple times. His body later surfaced and the other fishermen retrieved it and return to shore.

The body was taken to the morgue by police.
