Michelle Obama covers Vogue
First Lady Michelle Obama has appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine for the second time, talking about family values and pushing back at critics who say she and the president need to socialise more. Mrs Obama, 49, was captured in the April 2013 issue of the magazine – which hits newsstands on March 26 – by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. In the accompanying interview, by Jonathan Van Meter, the First Lady summarises her relationship to fashion. Her style is mentioned only once in the profile, and in just one paragraph – insinuating perhaps that she has more important things on her mind. “I always say that women should wear whatever makes them feel good about themselves. That’s what I always try to do,” she explained. “I also believe that if you’re comfortable in your clothes it’s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well. In every interaction that I have with people, I always want to show them my most authentic self.”
For the new issue, she wears the same dress for the inside feature with the president, who is dressed in a pinstriped shirt and a striped blue tie. Mrs Obama’s choice of Reed Krakoff for the cover is a significant one – she also wore the label in her latest official portrait, and for the president’s swearing-in.

“She’s hot… I have to write a song with her”: Steven Tyler
She’s not had too much luck when it comes to romance, following her doomed relationships with the likes of Harry Styles, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal. But at least Taylor Swift’s talents are being appreciated by some of the male population – with Steven Tyler labelling the country music starlet “hot”. In a somewhat surprising revelation, the 64-year-old rocker admitted the blonde singer-songwriter has caught his eye in recent weeks. And the Aerosmith frontman is even keen to work with the 23-year-old star in the future. Answering a question about which celebrity he’d like to intern for, Tyler told US Weekly: “She’s blonde with all the hits. Taylor Swift. She’s hot. More than that, she’s beyond talented. I have to write a song with her.”
Kelly Rowland shimmies!
After performing at the Super Bowl in February in the shadow of former band mate Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland is giving her solo career a boost with a risqué new single, Kisses Down Low. While the song’s name is attention-grabbing – and rather provocative – in itself, the singer continues the cheeky theme with a racy video. The 32-year-old dons a minidress which barely covers her modesty as she dances along to the R’N’B track, which sees her get back to her roots after experiencing a period of collaborating with House music acts such as David Guetta. One of her looks sees her with blue sections of hair to match her navy swimsuit, which provided ample cleavage and plenty of smooth skin on her legs to envy. Kelly writhes around on a chaise longue, also creating mirror-like illusions with her curves, using post-production special effects. The artist also dons a short wig with red strands reminiscent of her tresses from her Dilemma music video with rapper Nelly.
