All Eyes on Us

Under the Dryer

The words ‘all eyes on us’ from the popular Will.I.Am featuring Britney Spears song Scream and Shout aptly sums up the hair shoot on Monday at Cutting Edge Hair and Nails Salon managed by Carolene Dennis. Your Under the Dryer team was in Liguanea Post Mall to witness high-glam transformations as clients of the go-to salon went under the dryer. Thanks to the Cutting Edge team including Carolene Dennis and assistant Lavern Forbes.

Steps

1. Trim side of hair (Photo 6480)

2. Add black hair colour (Photo 6494)

3. Wash hair with Pantene Relaxed Neutral to Moisturized

4. Comb through Affirm Relaxer Condition in hair. This is sulphate free and an excellent keratin treatment in Keena’s hair. Leave in hair for five minutes.

5. Lavern sets hair on rollers.

6. Keena sits under the dryer

7. Blow dry hair.

8. Hairstylist Carolene Dennis uses a curling iron to style hair.

Steps

1. Cut hair with scissors.

2. Use Motions Professional Oil Moisturizer on darker hair.

3. Wash hair with Affirm Normalizing Shampoo.

4. Brush wrap lotion into hair and leave hair to dry under the dryer.

5. Michaela is placed under the dryer. 

6. Apply one squeeze of Rusk Deep Shine Oil to hair.

7. Style hair into a Mohawk using curling iron and extra hold hairspray. (Photo 6764)

8. Spray KeraCare Oil Sheen to finish hair.

Steps

1. Section hair with elastic bands in parts to apply hair colour. Place elastic bands at the points you want to apply colour.

2. Brush hair colour application on hair.

3. Wash hair with Affirm Relaxer Conditioner and leave in for five minutes.

4. Rinse hair.

5. Lavern uses blow dryer to get hair Jofia’s hair dry.

6. Flat-iron hair.

7. Use curling iron to style hair and add curls. (Photo 6856)

8. Spray KeraCare Oil Sheen Spray to style hair

“I love it, it’s amazing and the colour is really popping. I’m ready for the club.”

1. Omar trims the sides of Rajhni’s hair.

2. Using red Morfose Bleaching Powder Lavern adds hair application to Rajhni’s hair.

3. Wash hair.

4. Add hair mousse to style.
