The insurance company donated four new 650cc Yamaha motorcycles to the Police Traffic Division on Thursday, May 9, at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, on Old Hope Rad, St Andrew.

The intention is for them to be used in the most accident prone areas, where they can have the greatest impact. The donation is the culmination of a programme intended to cut Jamaica’s road fatalities in half by 2020, says JNGI General Manager Chris Hind. The programme also featured the erection of crash ‘Hot-Spot’ signs at strategic locations across the island, the agreement for which was signed between JNGI and the Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing a year ago.
