3 more Domino’s
WISYNCO Foods is closer to opening three new Domino’s pizza stores this year.
Within a few months locations on Harbour Street in Downtown Kingston and in Sovereign North on Barbican Road will be opened.
The company is also looking for a site in the Portmore Pines area to complement its Port Henderson store.
The new locations will bring the Domino’s pizza outlet count to 15 and should be able to reach about 25,000 customers per month, according to Wisynco’s managing director, William Mahfood.
The expansion is expected to cost approximately $100 million.
In downtown, Wisynco hopes to capitalise on the largest concentration of persons in the city.
“The area already has a couple of pizza locations and as the market grows for pizza, people want Domino’s,” he said.
However, its chief rival, Pizza Hut which is operated by the Myers family isn’t in the area.
Major companies, such as GraceKennedy and Scotiabank are headquartered in the area, where Digicel recently moved its over 1,000 employees.
The mobile phone giant’s new headquarters, looks down on Harbour Street. Only one other pizza shop is nearby, on East Street.
Other Domino’s locations are on Old Hope Road, Hope Road, Constant Spring Road, Elma Crescent and Central Plaza in Kingston; Caledonia Road in Mandeville; Brunswick in Spanish Town; May Pen and the departure lounge of the Sangster International Airport and Fairview Shopping Centre in Montego Bay.
