UPDATE: Two women killed St Elizabeth crash
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth – Two women are confirmed dead in a motor vehicle crash on the Bogue main road in north eastern St Elizabeth early Saturday.
Fifty-six-year-old Pamela Maxwell of Bogue district and 36-year-old Natalie Whyte of Oxford district, both in St Elizabeth, succumbed to injures they received in the crash.
Several other occupants in the vehicle, a Toyota Townace mini-bus, were reportedly taken to hospital in serious condition.
Reports are that the victims were returning home from a wake in Braes River, north eastern St Elizabeth sometime after 3:00 pm when the driver lost control and drove the vehicle into a ditch where it overturned.
The vehicle reportedly also hit a pole before overturning.
