MOCA to spearhead crime reduction — Bunting
KINGSTON, Jamaica — National Security minister Peter Bunting lauding the activities of the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force (MOCA) said that the police formation will be a means of major crime reduction in Jamaica.
According to Bunting MOCA uses more investigative methods to “take the profit out of crime” which he said is the main shared feature of organised crimes, including narcotics, lottery scamming, gunrunning and extortion.
He added that MOCA, which was established about a year ago, would continue to target criminal kingpins, as well as corrupt public officials who assist them.
Bunting was making his contribution to the Sectoral Debate in Parliament Wednesday.
