Portland Jerk Festival
The 2013 Best Dressed Chicken Portland Jerk Festival held at Folly Estate Portland last Sunday was the go-to event on the events calendar this month. Patrons from far and wide came out in their numbers to tantalise their taste buds with jerk delights ranging from the popular jerk chicken and pork to unique inventions of jerk goat, rabbit, reindeer, sheep, saltfish and lobster. The event combined the taste of jerk with loads of fun and entertainment which had the patrons not only teasing their palates but also enjoying rides, games and live performances from popular artistes. This year’s festival was indeed one that will leave everyone talking and anticipating the ones to come.
Patrons also indulged in sweet and refreshing snow cones asthey mingled and sampled the jerk delights.
