Courtleigh Hotel & Suites: Thirst Quenchers

Bartender Anthony Basco chose these drinks because, “They represent summer. Nice, cool, refreshing and easy to drink beverages, which use fresh fruits in the peak of ripeness and are sweet as can be. And the names are all about summertime fun, and embody the fun-loving people of Jamaica.”

Summer Breeze

Ingredients:

1 oz cherry brandy

1 oz Smirnoff vodka

Splash grenadine

4 oz pineapple juice

Method

Mix all ingredients in shaker, shake and pour into a glass of ice.

Garnish with pineapple and cherry.

Water Party

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Appleton Special

1 oz Apricot Brandy

3 oz pineapple juice

3 oz orange juice

Dash of lime juice

Method:

Mix ingredients in shaker, shake and pour into a glass of ice.

Garnish with orange slice and cherries.

Hot and Sexy

Ingredients:

1 oz overproof rum

1 oz Blue Curacao

5 oz pineapple juice

Dash of lime juice

Splash of simple syrup

0.5 oz coconut rum

Method:

Put all ingredients in shaker with ice, shake well and pour into a glass.

Garnish with pineapple and cherry.

Bikini

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Melon Liqueur

1.5 oz Smirnoff Vodka

4 oz pineapple juice

Dash of lime juice

Dash of simple syrup

1 oz Cointreau

Method:

Put all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake well and pour into a glass.

Garnish with melon and cherry

Non- Alcoholic Tropical Blend

Ingredients:

6 oz fresh mango

1.5 oz evaporated milk

2 oz simple syrup

2 oz fresh cantaloupe

8 oz crushed ice

Method:

1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend into a smoothie. Alternatively, blend all except the ice and pour over ice and serve. Strain if desired.

Melon Break

Ingredients:

6 oz peeled and seeded melon

2 oz Honeydew melon

2 oz simple syrup

1 oz lime juice

4 oz cold water

Method:

1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend. Strain if desired.
