Highs and lows of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have confirmed their separation after 13 years of marriage. And it has been claimed that the stresses they have faced eventually took their toll on the couple’s relationship.

“Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage. There will be no further comment,” a representative told MailOnline on behalf of the pair.

The stars’ marriage has been plagued by difficulties over the years, including Catherine’s bipolar disorder, Michael’s cancer and his candid comments about what caused it.

In August 2010, Michael revealed he was suffering from stage IV throat cancer, and after undergoing treatment the actor stated the following January that the tumour was gone.

At the time, he attributed the illness to stress, his previous alcohol abuse and years of heavy smoking.

But in June this year he made comments saying the HPV virus — which is contracted through oral sex — could have been the cause of his cancer.

Douglas backtracked on his remarks, but Catherine was “embarrassed” because he didn’t clarify he was exposed to the virus before meeting her, according to People magazine.

It has been claimed that this was the tipping point and a source told the publication: “Things went downhill from there.”

Michael revealed in a separate interview when Catherine was coming home from receiving treatment, which annoyed the Chicago actress as she wanted this to remain private, the magazine reports.

But the couple supported each other through their respective illnesses and Michael gushed at the time of his cancer that his better half had been “wonderfully supportive”.

Has Kris Jenner’s chat show been cancelled?

On Wednesday it was reported that Kris Jenner’s new FOX chat show Kris had been cancelled after its initial six-week trial run.

But the network has now responded to claims that the Kardashian matriarch was canned and insists that no decision has been made just yet surrounding the future of her show.

On the programme’s official Twitter page, FOX posted a short message to fans, stating that current rumours surrounding ‘Kris’ were “false”.

“Rumors flying are false but glad everyone is still buzzing about our 6 week summer run!!!!” the statement read.

It had been said that the momager’s daytime series suffered such poor ratings that the network was adamant that “there is no chance” she will be picked up for a second season.

This after the talk show received a ratings boost from an appearance by Kanye West — where he revealed the first pictures of his daughter North.

‘The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it.’

Adding: “Kris did get a ratings bump for her last show when Kanye West revealed the first baby pic of daughter, North West, with Kim, but that was a one-time shot in the arm and it wouldn’t be indicative of what the ratings trend would be.”

It appeared that the 57-year-old reality star was hoping to ride the wave of her family’s fame to prop up her chat show’s ratings. But apparently five days a week of the Kardashians may have been a bit of an overload.

It’s NOT Blue Ivy!

Drake sets record straight amid buzz over new album art

The Twittersphere blew up last week with speculations that Drake’s new album cover was an illustration of his friend Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

But the 26-year-old rapper recently shot down the rumours, explaining that the cover art is a depiction of a “child version of myself staring at myself now”.

Although fans clearly believed that the illustrated version of mini-Drake did bear a striking resemblance to his hip hop mogul buddy’s one-year-old daughter. Before Drake took the time to explain the meaning behind the cover illustration, it immediately went viral after he posted the artwork to his Instagram.

The singer simply captioned the album teaser with the new September 24 drop date for Nothing Was The Same after delaying the release by a few days.

But the cryptic posting got his online fans speculating as to who the illustrated child was supposed to be.

The Pop That rapper soon told MTV the full story behind his album portrait.

He explained: “It’s a child version of myself staring at myself now.

“Sometimes when I try and think back on this journey, it’s so hard to pinpoint all of these moments and it gets foggy.”

He added: “Even on past albums when I’ve been trying to tell this story, I’ve got there, but maybe not got there all the way.

“And what that album art is to me is, like, this is my most clean, concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then. That’s really what that cover’s about.’

– Daily Mail

Rumours emerged on Wednesdaythat Kris Jenner’s chat show hadbeen cancelled due to poor ratings, but FOX insist they have yet tomake an official decision.
Drake’s cover for his new album NothingWas The Same features himself as achild and a man looking in bothdirections through time.
