Morgan, Cuff share MVP awards in Masters T20
DELROY Morgan and Wayne Cuff of Domtar Sports Club were jointly awarded the most valuable players in the championship final in the 2013 Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Masters T20 cricket competition that ended at Kensington Park, Preston Road in Rollington Town, recently.
For being the joint most valuable player of the Championship Final, Morgan and Cuff each shared the $10,000 cash award.
Meanwhile, Morgan of Domtar received $5,000 for his man-of-the-final performances, scoring 56 not out and taking two wickets for 20 runs.
Winston Osbourne of Lions carried home $5,000 for making the most runs (260) during the competition. Lloyd Spence of St Catherine won $5,000 for taking the most wickets (13), and he also had the most catches by a fielder with five for another $5,000.
The best wicketkeeper prize was shared between Noel Clarke of Portmore Masters with seven stumpings and one catch, and Howard Harris of Mico with five stumpings and three catches. Both shared the $5,000
cash award.
Lascele Davis of St Catherine Parish was the only bowler taking a hat-trick during the competition. He collected $5,000 for
his achievement.
The award for five wickets or more went to Dorrel Hall of May Pen Lions, who bagged six for 22 against Moneague, and Spence of St Catherine Parish, who snared five for 27 against Domtar Sports Club. They shared the prize money of $5,000.
Colin Buchanan of St Catherine Parish scored the only century in the competition, 134 not out against AEROTEL/KOOL FM.
