STEPS:

1 Moisturise your skin: Before you apply make-up on your big day, it’s important that you have a smooth, refreshed foundation to work on. That’s where hydration comes in. In addition to drinking at least eight cups of water a day, help your skin lock in its natural moisturiser by applying a moisturising product day and night.

2 Find your bridal style: Depending on your style you may choose to accentuate your cat eyes by applying either a dramatic shade of eyeshadow — like those available in the M.A.C Antonio Lopez Violet or Teal Eyeshadow Palettes — before drawing your “wings”, or simply go for a more nude look by applying a sheer colour eyeshadow.

3 Draw your ‘wings’: Look at yourself straight on in the mirror. Where your eyebrows end should be the direction your liner goes. Now tilt your chin upwards and look back down at the mirror with your eyes. This makes the angle easier to see when achieving this look on your own. Take your felt-tip liner and start at the outside corner of your eye. Draw a “flick” up toward the end of your eyebrow. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Repeat on the other eye.

4 Make them symmetrical: This is the time to make sure your “wings” are symmetrical with one another. Take the Q-tip, and perfect your line by removing any harsh marks or mistakes.

5 Apply eyeliner: Once you have the angle of your wing, draw on your eyeliner like you normally would and connect it to your “flick”. Here you can control how thick or thin you want your line.
