‘Tuffy’ to start against Honduras
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Local football’s folk hero Jermaine ‘Tuffy’ Anderson will start in Jamaica’s team to face Honduras in their World Cup qualifying finale at the National Stadium Tuesday night.
Anderson, the colourful Waterhouse striker, is getting his first starting role since be recalled to the national set-up by coach, German Winfried Schafer.
Jamaica, on four points and at the bottom of the standings, have been eliminated from the CONCACAF Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers, while a draw this evening will give Honduras (14 points) an automatic berth.
The USA (19 points) and Costa Rican (15) have already secured qualification to Brazil.
