Commissioner Ellington makes movement in personnel
Observer Online is reporting that Commissioner of Police, Owen Ellington has approved several changes at the Divisional Command level at a meeting held yesterday with senior officers.
It is understood that with the impending retirement of the head of the Traffic Division SSP Radcliffe Lewis at the end of the month, another Lewis, Andrew, the present Divisional Commander for St James will replace Radcliffe Lewis as head of Traffic. SSP Lewis is currently on vacation leave and his place in St James is expected to be filled by Egbert Parkins who currently is in charge of the St Ann Division. SP Yvonne Martin-Daley will take over the reins in St Ann.
Noted and well respected crime fighter SSP Delroy Hewitt who is also expected to depart on retirement close to the end of the year will be replaced by SSP Richard Stewart at the St Andrew South Division. Stewart who is now located at the Administration portfolio will for the first time be taking on the lead role at the Divisional level.
The effective Divisional Commander for the St Andrew North Division SP Maurice Robinson will now be moving to the problematic Clarendon Division. He will be replaced by SP Jacqueline Green.
