‘It’s one hundred per cent NOT true’

People Post

Jamie Foxx has come out to deny he is dating Katie Holmes. Rumours flew around the blogosphere that he had gotten romantic with the actress after he was spotted dancing with Katie at an industry event over the summer. But the 45-year-old actor shot down the gossip on Tuesday, saying that the allegation was both ‘hilarious’ and ‘one hundred percent not true’.

Foxx explained: “[The rumours] are one hundred percent not true. ‘In fact, it’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people.”

He also went out of his way to state that he and Tom Cruise, Katie’s ex who he co-starred with in 2004’s Collateral, is one of his closest friends – implying that he would not date Katie out of respect to his buddy.

Previously, a report in InTouch magazine claimed that Katie was currently ‘dating’ Jamie.

The actress, who has a seven-year-old daughter, Suri, with her ex-husband Cruise, was reported to be enjoying secret dates with the actor for the past two months. A source told In Touch: ‘Katie and Jamie have been dating for a while.’

The couple were said to have been spending time together at Katie’s apartment in Chelsea, New York, and she also stayed at the Trump Soho Hotel with him for a night while he was filming his new movie Annie in mid-September after which his driver brought her home the next morning.

A second source said: “A hotel employee confirmed that Katie had stayed at the hotel with Jamie and that she was taking his car. So the driver drove her home to her Chelsea apartment.” The actress was first spotted partying with Jamie, 45, in July at a star-studded Night of Legends party in The Hamptons.

Gyllenhaal slims down for new role

Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be taking his current role to a new level – of weight loss, that is.

The athletic actor was looking noticeably thinner last Sunday as he filmed a scene in downtown Los Angeles for the new crime thriller Nightcrawler. Jake, 32, plays a freelance reporter in Los Angeles who stumbles upon the underground world of crime journalism, and was seen crossing the street with the look of someone who’s been so immersed in his job he hasn’t had time to eat.

The star was filmed walking out of a police station while clad in loosely fitted trousers, a white button-up shirt and tie, and a jacket that hung off his sloping shoulders. Even his usually handsome waving hair appeared to have undergone a change. His brown locks were long and combed back as though his character, Lou, hadn’t had time for a haircut either.

Gyllenhaal, who is six feet tall, tends to alter his looks to suit the part. Nightcrawler, which began shooting on October 6, is set in LA and also stars Bill Paxton and Rene Russo, who is wed to the film’s director Dan Gilroy.

Down and out in Beverly Hills?

Is that you St Nick?

Even the biggest Nick Nolte fan would have struggled to spot the iconic actor as he made his way through Beverly Hills, California, last Monday.

After years of being one of Hollywood’s most lusted over male stars, it seems the actor is far more content to go undercover as a slightly worse for wear Santa Clause.

Looking like his character out of Eighties classic Down And Out In Beverly Hills — which is about a wealthy couple who befriend a homeless man — the 72-year-old ran errands around the exclusive suburb. For his outing, the Gangster Squad star pulled a faded cold cap down over his face and his long white hair.

The actor appeared as if he was down on his luck, wearing dirty and ripped clothes and sporting a long scruffy beard. Putting any would-be autograph hunters off his scent, he dropped all trappings of being a Hollywood star.

Instead he wore tracksuit bottoms complete with holes, dirty marks and torn up hems, with an equally dirty white long sleeve shirt with blue stripes.

With more than his fair share of hit movies under his elastic waistband, the star has of course won the right to be comfy, so he also donned an elderly man’s favourite accessory – a pair of slippers.

The 48 Hours actor has certainly avoided the barber recently, showing off an impressive growth of white whiskers.
